Mark BensonCTO | U.S.
As CTO, Mark Benson sets the technical strategy and vision for the company to ensure it remains competitive in the M2M marketplace. Mark frequently speaks at and writes for industry events and maintains Exosite’s intellectual property portfolio. Prior to joining Exosite, Mark developed deep experience leading cross-functional teams in the development of high-tech and portable embedded product designs for medical, industrial, and military applications. Mark holds an MS in Software Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and a BS in Computer Science from Bethel University.
Sam WebsterPresident | Asia
As President, Sam is responsible for driving Exosite’s operations forward, a talent that is clearly second nature given his experience. After earning a Chemistry degree from UC Berkeley, he began his career as an investment banker in Hong Kong before moving on to Credit Lyonnais as Head of Asian Petrochemicals research and then on to Credit Suisse First Boston as Director of Research. In 2000 Sam joined the ING Group as Managing Director and Head of Equities based in Taiwan and was a member of the regional executive committee overseeing 9 countries. Rated as one of the top analyst in Asia, Sam brings a wealth of financial/institutional experience to Exosite. Sam’s laser focus on process and performance is an ideal complement to Exosite’s entrepreneurial energy and spirit.
Darren Poikonen VP Sales & Marketing | US
As VP of Sales & Marketing, Darren brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. With over 13 years in the wireless carrier industry Darren is very experienced in the mobile application space. Prior to moving into the wireless industry Darren spent several years on the technical side of the business as a consultant in application development for General Electric and others. Darren helped to lead the development of the Verizon Wireless carrier channel for nPhase, a small M2M platform provider and integration joint venture between Verizon and Qualcomm. He and his team grew usage of their platform from 10’s of thousands of devices to well over 2 Million and rapidly growing today by building out and leveraging the Verizon sales channel. Most recently Darren has served as the Director of Connected Solutions Architecture for Verizon Wireless. In this role his team was responsible for driving M2M revenue growth for Verizon enterprise Solutions nationwide. This included growth in the areas of connection revenue, application revenue as well as cloud and security services. Darren is a summa cum laude graduate of Minnesota State University with a degree in Business Administration.
Steve VanderSandenDirector of Engineering Services | U.S.
Steve is the Director of Engineering Services at Exosite. With over 10 years of experience in new product development, including 6 in a Design Services environment, he is particularly skilled at getting your product to market. In a previous life, Steve spent his days writing software for embedded devices. He now spends his time building customer relationships and ensuring the Exosite team delivers on its commitments.

Dominic Letz is Exosite’s director of research and development. He has over ten years experience working with connected services and devices, including four years at Nokia, where he was instrumental in creating smart personal services. He has led teams to build cloud services that serve millions of users all over the globe. An true engineer at heart, he is focused on transforming difficult problems into tomorrow’s innovations. His skill for analytic thinking is second only to his ability to create pragmatic customer-centric solutions. Dominic frequently offers comprehensive solutions to complex problems, often with unassuming ease.

Mike Aanenson is the Director of Support Services for Exosite in the United States. With over 10 years experience in technology development and commercialization, he is responsible for customer support and technology integration for Exosite. Mike is adept at rapidly overcoming complex technical issues while managing expectations across multiple levels.
Dominic CopeDirector of Operations | Asia
Dominic Cope is the director of operations for Exosite in Taiwan. Dedicated to seeing all jobs completed beyond expectations, he is well suited to lead the development team to deliver customer programs on time and budget. His 13 years in Taiwan and fluency in Chinese provides an international world view which allows him to navigate the intricacies of business in Asia. Well respected by employees and peers, Dominic works hard to ensure positive outcomes in any situation. His team knows that when he makes a commitment to a customer, everyone is responsible for success.
Troy KopischkeFounder / Board Member | U.S.
Troy Kopischke began his career at Honeywell’s research and technology center and quickly rose to senior management roles at a variety of regional and international technology-based start ups. He is currently managing director of Invenshure, a technology incubator and venture fund. He serves on a number of boards, both non-profit and for profit and is passionate about technology commercialization. Danny CunaginFounder / Board Member | U.S.
Danny Cunagin has been a serial entrepreneur virtually his entire professional career. After graduating college with an engineering degree and a rewarding stint at Medtronic, he began a journey to launch and grow Logic Product Development, one of the largest product development consulting firms in the U.S. After selling Logic to a private equity firm, Danny and Troy joined Steady State Imaging as CEO and COO and subsequently guided the company to an acquisition by GE Healthcare 2 years later. Danny brings over 30-years of experience to each new opportunity.
